Summary

Stopping at Lille, while on his second journey to the Holy Land, Thierry of Flanders makes known and confirms under his seal that the monks of Clairvaux have purchased on behalf of the nuns of Loos some land that Bernard of Ennequin held in fief from him.

Ego Theodericus, Dei gratia Flandrie comes, notum fieri volo tam presentibus quam futuris, quos monachi de Claraualle emerunt ad opus ecclesie Sancte Marie apud Los terram Bernardi de Anakin, quam ipse tenuit in feodo de Pirron de Bargas et idem Petrus eandem terram tenuit de me.

Et ut hoc stabile et inconvulsum prefate ecclesie in perpetuum permaneat, sigilli mei impressione et scripto assignans confirmavi in remissione peccatorum meorum, et sub testimonio sufficienti.

Signum Rogeri de Wafrin. S. Petri de Maisnil. S. Hugonis de Los et Clerbald fratris eius. S. Lamberti filii Rikir. S. Johannis Pulcri.
