Biography
Nicholas of Montiéramey was a well-known scholar and cleric of the second half of the twelfth century. Originally a monk at the abbey of Montiéramey, he became secretary to bishop Hato of Troyes and then to the great Bernard of Clairvaux before joining the court of Count Henry in 1151.
