Biography
Philip of Dreux was a nobleman and courtier of the kings of France. He was elected bishop of Beavais in 1175 and was a prominent member of the French royal contingent on the Third Crusade. He later fought in the French wars against the Angevin alliance, including at the battle of Bouvines in 1214.
