Biography
Peter of Langres appears to have been a prominent member of society in Troyes during the reign of Henry I of Chamapagne. He had participated in the construction of houses in Troyes, and earlier in 1179 was involved in a charter that suggests he was involved in the operation of the fairs at Bar-sur-Aube (he donated the sales tax on fustians at the fair to the hospital of Bar).
