Biography
Robert the Burgundian became the second master of the Order of the Templars. He was identified in an 1127 charter of Count Fulk V of Anjou as "miles sancti Stephani Ierusalem", generally interpreted to mean that he had already traveled to Jerusalem and entered into the service of an eastern church.
