Biography

A charter of Ulger, bishop of Angers records that Robert of Buzançais gave over two churches in return for which he was given a sum of 110 pounds, 17 shillings, and 2 marks of silver and given a gift of 700 shillings and two mules worth 700 shillings. The same charter indicates that the bishop gave him the pilgrim's staff. Although the date of his expedition is unclear, he may have been a part of the entourage of Fulk V of Anjou in 1129.
